Did You Know?
Remote work, screens, social networks, video games: we spend more and more time sitting down and less and less time moving. Our lives are therefore increasingly sedentary, but this lack of activity is one of the main risk factors for our health.
According to the WHO, regular physical activity would be essential for the prevention and management of many pathologies (diabetes, cancer, etc.), but also for its ability to influence our cognitive abilities, and therefore on many physical and psychological factors such as mood and self-image.

For Info
WHO recommends at least 2.5 hours a week of moderate physical activity, or at least 1.5 hours of intense activity. To feel additional benefits, it should rise to 5 hours per week, including at least two sessions of muscle strengthening adapted.
According to WHO, a minimum of 10,000 steps per day would contribute to a good physical health.
Three Steps Forward
- Download an app to measure the number of steps you take per day and give yourself a number to reach, which can increase every week. 5000 to start, then 6000… and reach 10,000 steps/day.
- Find simple and fun ways to incorporate physical activity into your daily routine: get up and go for a walk every two hours (see more often). Take the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator. Get off an earlier bus or subway stop. Take advantage of your break to discover the neighborhood.
- Propose to your loved ones to do this challenge with you, and to test a weekly activity to realize together.
