BNP Paribas Cardif’s obesity prevention programme has chosen to focus its action at a local level, close to those directly concerned by the need for clear information on a healthy diet and the fight against obesity. By collaborating with global institutions such as UNICEF, national NGOs and local associations, and offering the chance of volunteer work for employees of BNPP Cardif and its distributors, the project is able to benefit the greatest possible number of individuals, at all levels. Their testimonies are the best way to express the importance of the movement.

La Tablée des Chefs has existed since 2013, based on a format launched in Canada in 2002. The idea is simple: to teach young people the importance of cooking healthy meals using fresh produce, under the guidance of professional chefs, including many starred names. BNP Paribas Cardif supports La Tablée des Chefs for their work in the field and their fun yet educational approach to cooking. Every year, the association organizes the Culinary Brigades competition.

“It was really the best idea to sign up for this project, I learned so many things like enjoying certain vegetables –I’m really fussy about vegetables!”

The consumer credit company Findomestic, a partner of BNP Paribas Cardif, has been involved in several volunteer projects, alongside Fare x Bene, an association that fights against bullying by offering programmes dedicated to well-being and education around food.

“Findomestic has welcomed BNP Paribas Cardif’s project to combat childhood obesity and overweight with great enthusiasm and commitment. Aware of the importance of spreading a culture of prevention of risks related to overweight and obesity, we have involved our colleagues in Milan and Palermo as volunteers in schools, receiving very positive feedback. In 2026, we will continue this important journey, together with BNP Paribas Cardif and the FARE X BENE association, within the “Le Chiavi della Città” project of the Municipality of Florence, which will involve 310 students for the 2025/2026 school year. A striking synergy that we believe  will lead to greater awareness of these important topics and promote healthier  lifestyles, especially among the younger generations.

For the first time in history, obesity has surpassed underweight in children aged 6 to 19. BNP Paribas Cardif has been supporting UNICEF for 4 years and we are very grateful for this valuable partnership, as our joint action is more urgent than ever due to a huge need and unprecedented momentum
