Numerous studies in the literature have highlighted a reduction in quality of life, and in particular health-related quality of life, in patients suffering from EDs or obesity.
Indeed, the more severe the symptoms of EDs, the greater the reduction in quality of life. This reduction in quality of life can vary according to the different forms of EDs, particularly as it may be associated with the presence of various comorbidities.
- Managing the comorbidities associated with EDs and obesity could have a positive impact on quality of life.
- A study has shown that depression (see anxiety sheet), drug addiction (see addiction sheet) and osteoporosis3 are the factors with the greatest impact on quality of life.
- The study of quality of life during the detection and management and obesity will enable us to assess the impact of the pathology.
